  1. Hi, my name is Nick Lambrinides I'm a political science major. I originally came to TMC to play football and get an education, but now I am strictly a student. I am taking this class because I love everything about sports, as well as I needed a philosophy credit. I played football for 8 years all the up to my freshman year of college, I played baseball in high school, and I am now a football coach at East Central middle school.

  3. My name is Tori Duncan. I am at TMC to earn a BSN degree and become a RN. I decided to take this class not only because it fulfills my final philosophy credit, but also because I enjoyed playing sports while growing up, I enjoy watching and talking about them and I really enjoyed having Dr. Cate last spring for her Death and Dying class. I played volleyball from the 4th grade all through my senior year of high school (played year-round select for a couple of years) and I also participated on my high school's track and field team where I found that I really liked being a discus thrower, not so much for shot put (lol).

  13. My name is Brigid Burwinkel. I came to Thomas more because I liked the size of the school and also because it is kind of a tradition in our family to attend Thomas More College (five of my siblings and quite a few cousins have attended Thomas More). I am taking this class because it revolves around a very hot topic, there’s always something in the news concerning sports and ethics. I have played tennis for as long as I can remember off and on, and I am currently playing for TMC.

I am taking this class as a core requirement but sports and ethics have sparked my interest because I love the game but I want to play fair and safe. 22. Hey, I'm Sean Lang and this is my senior year as a marketing major. The personalized education and well rounded syllabus on top of a winning tradition with the sport I play and plus I look pretty good in blue. I need the other requirement for philosophy and since sports have been a major impact in my life, taking a deeper look into them would benefit me when asked how football has changed my life. This is also my fourth and final year of football for the college and the end of my 15 year career.
